I’m a writer, editor, and translator with a Ph.D. in Editorial Studies from the Boston University Editorial Institute. My dissertation was a critical, bilingual edition (in my translation) of essays published from 1963-1974 in the Mexico City newspaper Excélsior by the woman-of-letters Rosario Castellanos. My academic interests are many: Latin American literature and literary history (specializing in things Mexican); literary nonfiction and narrative journalism; editorial and publishing histories, literary translation . . . and on. I’m proudly from El Paso, Texas.
I’m an associate editor at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. I’ve previously worked at Harvard Review, Boston University (teaching in the CAS Writing Program, among other things), and at Boston Review.
